Dear Client,

We are happy to announce that on February 2, 2015 Noridian Medicare notified us that our ICD-10 testing passed their requirements for Electronic Billing! What does that mean for you as our clients? Intellect software is ready for ICD-10. To verify if the software version you are using is ICD-10 ready, view the version date on the top bar of your program:

Intellect top bar 15.01.09

If the version date is 14.02.04 or greater, Intellect is ICD-10 ready as it includes ALL the ICD-10 codes and a crosswalk in the software (Note: The ICD-10 codes were pulled from the CMS website and are not a product of PCS). We, however, always suggest that you are on the most recent version, currently 15.01.09. If you would like to update to the latest version, please click here for authorization forms and instructions.

For your reference, we constantly update our websites with current ICD-10 information. For example, after logging-in with your Client ID and password, ICD-10 information is located in two areas:

  • Select [OnStaff/Intellect Info], and then ICD-10. Options include our Prime Clinical Q&A.

- OR -

  • Click on the blue [Newsletters and Alerts] box, and then ICD-10. Selections include CMS News Updates and other CMS links.

Additional ICD-10 information is also available from the CMS website, including their Road to 10 no-cost tool for small physician practices.

As we get closer to the October 1, 2015 Mandate Date, please be sure that you and your staff are learning about the ICD-10 requirements internally. This may also include updating your superbills if your office has ICD-9 codes or if you will be adding ICD-10 codes to your superbill.

Instructions for requesting superbill changes:

  • If your office is currently using and printing superbills via Intellect and your superbill was customized and your office would like the ICD-10 codes to print on the superbill, your office will need to contact us for the changes. After logging-in, please be sure to also view our Prime Clinical Q&A for more detailed information.

  • If your office is using superbills via your PCM software, please log-in and click on the Prime Clinical Q&A link to review all the requirements.

Due to the high volume of changes/requests for superbills/forms via Intellect, we have been forced to initiate a deadline date of 08/01/2015. Any superbill and forms changes requested after this deadline date are not guaranteed that the FORMS WILL BE READY AND LOADED ON OR BEFORE 10/01/2015. To update your superbills:

  • Make the necessary changes in a Microsoft Word document and email the information to support@primeclinical.com. Note: Because ICD-10 codes are  a practice-per-practice requirement, PCS does not have sample superbills with ICD10 codes -- this is the reason we ask each office to send in their superbill design requirements.

  • The subject line of the email should include 'ATTN: Forms Dept', and the body of the email should include your client ID and the name and phone number of a contact person

  • Any changes to your superbill are billable. The Forms Department will advise you of the cost once they have reviewed your changes.

Sincerely,
