FAXED
DOCS TAB:
Faxed
documents may be getting moved
to this tab after faxing.
A
copy of some faxed documents may
not be sent to the Faxed Docs
Tab,
and
the Record Faxed Event at times
is not getting logged.
Dear
Client,
The following
problems have been recently reported
after PCM version 5.5.900 updates.
We are currently working on this
issue and we anticipate an update
to fix this will be available
on Friday November 11, 2011 and
the affected versions will all
be updated starting on Friday
night.
Affected
PCM versions:
5.5.900
to 5.5.924
Patch
Update: 5.5.925+
Problems:
1. After
faxing a document it may be moved
from its corresponding chart tab
to the Faxed Docs tab. If you
are looking for a document that
was recently faxed and you cannot
find it under its corresponding
chart tab, and is not visible
under the All Pages tab, please
check the Faxed Docs tab, it may
be there. If you find these moved
documents please send an email
to support@primeclinical.com,
all we need is your Prime M-Account
# and
the patient's Medical Record number
and we will move the document
back to its corresponding chart
tab.
Scenarios
on how this was found to happen:
•
Scenario One:
A document was faxed unsigned,
and after faxing it, the document
was immediately signed, and because
after faxing the Faxed Docs tab
is open, this caused the document
to be incorrectly saved/moved
into the Faxed Docs tab.
•
Scenario
Two: The document was signed,
faxed, then immediately sent to
another user, again because after
faxing the Faxed Docs tab is opened,
the document was incorrectly saved/moved
into the Faxed Docs tab, neither
of these scenarios should cause
this to happen.
There
is a temporary workaround for
issue #1 (until the update):
After faxing the document, please
click on the chart tab where the
document resides (not All Pages,
the actual chart tab), select
the document again, and then send
to user, or sign, etc. This will
prevent it from getting moved
to the Faxed Docs chart tab.
2. When
the Fax Send screen comes up,
if the clear button is used and
the Referring button is clicked
on in order to open the referring
table and look up a different
fax recipient, and the fax is
then sent, a copy of the faxed
document may NOT be sent to the
Faxed Docs tab.
3.
During the investigation of the
above issues, it was noted that
in some scenarios the "Record
Faxed" event in the log files
is not recorded, even when the
fax was sent.
We thank
you for taking the time to report
this issue, apologize for the
inconvenience, and appreciate
your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Prime Clinical Systems, Inc.
