Dear
PCM Client,
As of
PCM version 5.5.1054, processing
of Patient Reminder guideline
web links on check-out and during
treatment plan has changed, depending
on the patient's preferred method
of communication.
The changes
are as follows:
•
When
guideline web links exist, instead
of launching the Internet Explorer
on check out or when applying
a treatment plan, the web links
will now be converted to PDF documents
(unless the conversion from web
link to PDF was not successful).
•
On
Check out, the web link PDF documents
will be combined with the CCD
Summary.
•
On
Check out, if the user elected
the option to not create a CCD
Summary, it will generate a PDF
with the information from the
web links only.
•
On
Check out, a copy of the CCD Summary,
or CCD Summary along with any
web link PDF documents, will be
placed in the chart as one whole
document. If the PDF document
contains a CCD Summary along with
web links, the name of the chart
document is "Patient Info
Docs" or "CCD Summary"
if it is only the CCD Summary.
•
When
applying treatment plans (without
the patient having an appointment)
just as it is done during check-out,
if there are links associated
with the guideline, the links
are converted to PDF. The entire
PDF is then printed, or processed,
depending on the patient's preferred
method of communication.
•
When
applying a reminder within a treatment
plan, a copy of the associated
web link documents' PDF will be
placed in the chart, and the name
of the chart document will be
"Patient Info Docs".
•
On
Check-Out or During Treatment
Plan, if the patient's preferred
method of communication is E-mail,
the CCD Summary, or CCD Summary
along with any web link education
documents, will be e-mailed to
the patient as one multiple page
PDF document.
•
On
Check-Out or During Treatment
Plan, if the patient's preferred
method of communication is Patient
Portal, an email will be sent
to the patient alerting them of
recent activity on their account
with a link to login to Patient
Portal. The CCD Summary or CCD
Summary along with any web link
education documents will be available
for the patient to access under
"Flow Charts" tab.
