Intellect Version 12.12.06

Version 12.12.06 was released December 6, 2012.

This update contains software modifications and features to streamline office procedures. A brief overview of the changes follows.

Overview of New and Enhanced Features

The following summary of new and modified features in the most recent version of Intellect is available to quickly see what features we've added to the program which may benefit your office.

Fixes for reported problems are not included in the Overview of New and Enhanced Features; please refer to the detailed release notes. 

  

Registration 

Worker/Worker:

·   Automatically update the <STP Dr> field on the account balance table when adding or modifying a worker record.   

 

Doc Archive:

·   See identical Document Types only once on the drop-down list, regardless of how many scanners are set up with that Document Type. Additionally, enter Document Types with increased font sizes and long document types in the automatically-adjusting Document Type field.   

 

Charges 

Charges: 

·   Display a window with a list of ICD-10 codes from which to choose by entering a related ICD-9 code after the date entered in the new <ICD10 Effective Date> field (in Utility/Set Up/Parameter).

·   Modify the <QTY> field to change the charge amount, approved amount, and cost for that charge record, based on certain Utility/Procedure/Procedure fields and the Panel Code. 

·   Use the new [Resume] button to disable other buttons until your change is saved.

·   Get an error message while using the 'N' option if the transaction is not completed before clicking on the multi-line display area. 

 

Modify:

·   Click the [Save] button while using the 'N' option to save changes made in the fields on the detail information panel.

·   Save changes to a charge record using the new [Apply Changes] button.  

 

CHDP: 

·   Use the new [F2] function on the 'C' and 'D' columns for greater accuracy.   

 

Charge Review: 

·   Eliminate extra steps by using the new <Category> field on the [Charge Info] screen.

 

Payment 

Open Item:

·   Modify the amount in the <Deduct> column. 

 

Billing

Insurance/Group of Patients:

·   Utilize the new <Category> field on the [Charge Info] screen. 

 

Management

Statistical Report:

·   Use the new 'Insurance Category' option on the <Report Code> field to request a report based on the <Insurance Co. Code> field of Utility/Insurance/Insurance. 

 

Aging/Misc. Aging Report:

·   Select the new 'blank' option on the <Who> field to include all of the Who options.

·   Choose the new 'Insurance Category' option on the <Group By> field to organize the report based on the Group selected in the <Category> field on Utility/Insurance/Insurance. 

 

Analysis/Misc. Report:

·   View the grand total on the Management/Analysis/Misc Report.  

 

Analysis/Utilization Report:

·   Use the 8 new report options on the <Report Code> field to display a bar graph for the selected option.  

 

Detail Report: 

·   Select the new 'Patient Detail' option on the <Report Code> field to display a report with both a section and subtotal for each patient.  

·   View 0.00 in the Expected, Payment, and Adjustment columns if an entry has no monetary value.

· Use the new <Adjustment Code> and <Payment Code> fields when running the Payment/Adjustment Report option.

 

Utility

Set Up/Parameter: 

·         Use the new <Hold Imported Charges> field with the charge import program.  

 

Diagnosis/Crosswalk:

·         Link ICD-10 codes already in Intellect to the comparable ICD-9 codes in Intellect.  

 

Procedure/Procedure:

·         Process NDC numbers the way they are entered.  

 

Tools/Configuration:

·   Set Intellect's memory, based on available RAM.  

 

Schedule

Appointment/Print:

·   Use the 8 new options on the <Selection> field. The first 7 options provide a bar graph showing the patient count for the selected option. The remaining new option displays an inactive patient list. 

 

Miscellaneous

Main Toolbar Icons: 

·     Utilize the 10 new icons on the main toolbar to launch frequently used tasks more easily.

·     Use languages other than English with Twilio. 

 

 

Update Instructions 

 

The Release Notes include the features and modifications made in the current update. PCS suggests you provide each department a copy of the Release Notes so they are aware of the changes which may affect their department.

In order to be aware of ALL changes in the software, please read all release notes from the version you are currently on through to the version to which you are updating.  

 

The update may include items labeled: ATTENTION. These will IMMEDIATELY affect Billing and other daily tasks. Please be sure to notify all departments which will be affected.  

 

Intellect Update Authorization Form:

Print, complete, sign, and return the Update Authorization Form to PCS prior to your update. Even if updating your system yourself, PCS requests you send us this completed form so we can update your Client Record with the version number to which you are updating. Knowing your version number is necessary if we find a critical error in the program and need to update clients with specific versions.
