Intellect Version 9.12.31

Version 9.12.31 was released May 29, 2012. This update contains software modifications and features to streamline office procedures. A brief overview follows of the changes.

Overview of New and Enhanced Features

 

The following summary of new and modified features in the most recent versions of Intellect is available to quickly see what features we've added to the program which may benefit your office.

The detailed release notes contain important information you need to know before updating.   

 

Fixes for reported problems are not included in the Overview of New and Enhanced Features; please refer to the detailed release notes. 

  

Registration 

Regular/Patient:

* Attention PCM users: Intellect's <Language> field drop down list now uses first letter upper case and the rest of the word in lower case to match the format that PCM uses; i.e., "ENGLISH" now displays as "English".

 

Charges 

Charge:

* Use expanded options of the Claim Requirement screen (added in version 9.12.14) to include information based on Facility or Place of Service. 

 

Charge/Charge Modify & Charge Review:

* Modify batch numbers via the new <Batch> fields. 

 

Ledger 

Create Collection:

* Assign the collection file you created to another operator.    

 

Billing 

View Claim Files:

* Utilize the View Claim Files screen which now displays in descending date order and only includes the files generated in the last 90 days.

 

Tele Com/Access Claim Report:

* Modify batch numbers via the new <Batch> field.   

 

Tele Com/Submit GOP-BOP:

* View the entire Reference Number at the bottom right of electronic billing reports.

 

Management 

Letters/Newsletters: 

* Enter multiple zip codes, separated by commas, in the <Zip Code> field.   

 

Utility

Facility:

* Use the new <Encounter Screen> and <Claim Requirement> fields in conjunction with the Claim Requirement screen (added in version 9.12.14) to ensure necessary information is included on the claim form before it is sent.  

 

Schedule

Appointment/Full Day/Add-Modify Appt:

* View the date of the patient's next upcoming appointment in the Recall field.

 

 

 

Update Instructions 

 

The Release Notes include the features and modifications made in the current update. PCS suggests you provide each department a copy of the Release Notes so they are aware of the changes which may affect their department.

In order to be aware of ALL changes in the software, please read all release notes from the version you are currently on through to the version to which you are updating.  

 

The update may include items labeled: ATTENTION. These will IMMEDIATELY affect Billing and other daily tasks. Please be sure to notify all departments which will be affected.  

 

Intellect Update Authorization Form:

Print, complete, sign, and return the Update Authorization Form to PCS prior to your update. Even if updating your system yourself, PCS requests you send us this completed form so we can update your Client Record with the version number to which you are updating. Knowing your version number is necessary if we find a critical error in the program and need to update clients with specific versions.
