Intellect Version 9.12.32

Version 9.12.32 was released June 22, 2012.

This update contains software modifications and features to streamline office procedures. A brief overview follows of the changes.

Overview of New and Enhanced Features

The following summary of new and modified features in the most recent version of Intellect is available to quickly see what features we've added to the program which may benefit your office.

Fixes for reported problems are not included in the Overview of New and Enhanced Features; please refer to the detailed release notes.

Charges

Charge:

* Bill patients for unpaid co-pays using the new Bill Copay option on the right click menu.

Ledger

Accounting & Open Item:

* Use the Ctrl-C keys to copy the fields in the second portion of the screen for use in Excel, Word, etc.

Open Item:

* In addition to typing information in the Remarks field, Remarks may also be pulled from one of Intellect's tables.

Utility

Set Up/Appointment/Appointment Type:

* Generate an appointment cancel letter using the new <Cancel> field.

* Allow appointments set up in Intellect to populate in PCM using the new <Create Appointment Reminder> field.

Set Up/Security:

* Requests for more than one clinic may now be made all at one time for electronic billing, statements, management reports, and billing reports.

Set Up/Parameter:

* Speed up access to the Ledger/Accounting and Ledger/Open Item screens by setting the new <Age Ledger Account> field to No.

Schedule

Full Day/Add Appointment:

* Use the new PENDING feature which prohibits multiple operators from overbooking an appointment time slot.

Full Day/Day Tab:

* Check eligibility for an individual patient, by doctor's appointments, or by day's appointments by utilizing the three new Eligibility sub-menus on the right-click menu.

* Hover your mouse over a patient's name to display the patient's appointment type, total length of the appointment, and the facility code.

Full Day/Appointment List Tab:

* View additional appointment information in the new Length and Ver. Stat columns.

* Open the Inquire Appointment screen using the new Inquire option on the right-click menu on the Day tab.

Update Instructions

The Release Notes include the features and modifications made in the current update. PCS suggests you provide each department a copy of the Release Notes so they are aware of the changes which may affect their department.

In order to be aware of ALL changes in the software, please read all release notes from the version you are currently on through to the version to which you are updating.

The update may include items labeled: ATTENTION. These will IMMEDIATELY affect Billing and other daily tasks. Please be sure to notify all departments which will be affected.

Intellect Update Authorization Form:

Print, complete, sign, and return the Update Authorization Form to PCS prior to your update. Even if updating your system yourself, PCS requests you send us this completed form so we can update your Client Record with the version number to which you are updating. Knowing your version number is necessary if we find a critical error in the program and need to update clients with specific versions.
