Prime Clinical Systems Announces

Intellect Version 13.03.01

Version 13.03.01 was released in March 2013.

This update contains software modifications and features to streamline office procedures. A brief overview of the changes follows.

Overview of New and Enhanced Features

The following summary of new and modified features in the most recent version of Intellect is available to quickly see what features we've added to the program which may benefit your office.

The detailed release notes contain important information you need to know before updating.   

 

Fixes for reported problems are not included in the Overview of New and Enhanced Features; please refer to the detailed release notes. 

  

Charges

Charge:

  1.  Add an <Encounter Description> field to the Claim Requirement screen.

     Control whether or not an ICD-10 pop up window displays for the <Diagnosis> field.

     Determine whether or not Intellect should stop on the <RDX>, <Insurance>, <Who>, <Mod>, and <QTY> fields for each procedure.

     

    Modify:

     Change a CPT code for a charge by changing the insurance in the information section.

 

Payment

Auto Payment:

 View unapplied credits or debits (as indicated by the ERA that comes from the payer) on the Automatic Payment Journal report.

 

Billing

Worker:

 Use the new form for the State of California Division of Workers' Compensation Request for Authorization for Medical Treatment - a.k.a. DWC Form RFA.

 

Management

Letters/News Letter & News Letter Report:

 Filter or select patient email addresses using the new <Month of Birth> field.

 

Utility

Set Up/Parameter:

 For panel codes with more than one procedure, set up the new <Pass Procedure> field to determine on what fields Intellect should stop for each procedure.

 Set the new <ORACLE Fetch Size> field to 3000 to indicate how many records can be fetched at any given time.

 

Category:

 Indicate if a Category Code supports ICD-10 by appropriately setting the new <ICD10> field.

 

Category, Procedure, Facility:

 Use the new Encounter Description option to add the <Encounter Description> field to the Claim Requirement screen.

 

Maintenance:

 In the new File Content Sample section of the Import Data and General Import screens, view the first four lines of the file selected for import.  

 

Schedule 

Appointment:

 Display the HMO account on the Eligibility History tab and the actual paying insurance company on the Insurance Info tab.  

 

Miscellaneous

Third-Party Vendor Options:

 Access the HL7 ADT/SIU Message Specifications and Financial Billing Messages (DFT).

 

 

Update Instructions 

 

The Release Notes include the features and modifications made in the current update. PCS suggests you provide each department a copy of the Release Notes so they are aware of the changes which may affect their department.

In order to be aware of ALL changes in the software, please read all release notes from the version you are currently on through to the version to which you are updating.  

 

The update may include items labeled: ATTENTION. These will IMMEDIATELY affect Billing and other daily tasks. Please be sure to notify all departments which will be affected.  

 

Intellect Update Authorization Form:

If you do NOT have support, please contact  accounting@primeclinical.com as your office MUST have a current Intellect support maintenance contract before being updated.

 

If you have a current Intellect support maintenance contract, please print, complete, sign, and return the Update Authorization Form to PCS prior to your update. Even if updating your system yourself, PCS requests you send us this completed form so we can update your Client Record with the version number to which you are updating. Knowing your version number is necessary if we find a critical error in the program and need to update clients with specific versions.

This update may include new features labeled: BETA TEST. These are new features which require additional testing in a real, live environment. If you are interested in being a Beta Test site, please contact Prime Clinical System for additional information and set up.
