Windows Server
2003 R2
End-of-Life July
15, 2015

Act (HIPAA) security
guidelines and
procedures. Microsoft
has announced
the official end-of-life
support for Windows
Server 2003 R2
on July 15, 2015,
making this version
of the Microsoft
Operating Systems
non-HIPAA compliant.
In an effort to
inform our clients
to plan ahead
and avoid the
last minute rush,
we highly recommend
to start considering
upgrading your
servers to Windows
2008 R2 or Windows
2012. A typical
server upgrade
may require your
office to be down
for a few days.
Please contact

to coordinate
and facilitate
this upcoming
project.

Update
On
October 1, 2015,
ICD-10 goes into
effect. Any superbills
your office is
currently using
that include diagnosis
codes will need
to be updated
to reference the
new ICD-10 codes.

to the 10/01/2015
Mandate Date,
please be sure
that you and your
staff are learning
about the ICD-10
requirements internally.
As
your software
vendor, Prime

codes and a crosswalk
in your software.
Any codes that
are not included
in your system
will need to be
added to your
system by you
and your staff.
Please be advised,
the ICD-10 codes
were pulled from
the CMS website
and are not a
product of PCS.
