Intellect Email and Text Message Appointment Reminders

ocean_header_bg.gif

Email and text messages can be sent automatically to patients to remind them of their appointments. These Intellect options, in addition to CallSTAFF (see Prime Time News, November 2009), can significantly cut the time and expense of reminding patients of their appointments and reduce the cost of missed appointments.

Email

The email appointment reminders include a message and the actual appointment information. You can customize the message for your office, or use the default message provided by Prime Clinical which states, "This email is to remind you about your scheduled appointment. If you are unable to keep this appointment, please call our office to reschedule.” In addition to the email itself, custom documents may also be attached such as a map to the office, pre-appointment instructions, or a registration form.

Text Message

Intellect also offers the ability to pull patient appointment information from the system and put it into a standard-format non-customizable text message reminder. As shown in the following sample, the message includes the doctor’s name, the date and time of the appointment, the telephone number and location of the medical facility where the appointment is scheduled, and the date and time the text message was sent.
