Medicare Part B Updates

 

 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

 

California, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands Provider and Vendor Community:

Noridian Electronic Data Interchange Support Services (EDISS) would like to welcome you to Jurisdiction E (JE). EDISS is committed to working with you and your current Medicare contractor, Palmetto GBA, to ensure a seamless, transparent and efficient transition of all electronic transactions.

 

Who is EDISS?

EDISS is the department within Noridian responsible for electronic exchange of health care transactions with providers, billing services and clearinghouses. EDISS provides the ability to quickly and efficiently exchange healthcare information in a safe, secure, and cost effective way. Some responsibilities of EDISS include:

 

 Setting up and assisting submitters with the EDI registration, testing process and production submission.

 Educating the provider community about the EDI process and upcoming industry changes.

 Implementing change requests issued by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

 Developing and implementing process improvements related to all aspects of EDI.

We realize that transitioning to a new contractor can sometimes be an overwhelming task. To ensure you are receiving current educational information regarding the JE implementation:
