PCM & Intellect

Daily Training Forum

 
Have you used our daily training forum? This daily forum assists our clients by answering quick training questions in both PCM and Intellect. Features of the Forum:

 

  • The forum is 2 hours in length

  • The meeting is conducted with a "live trainer"

  • Get your answers quickly and proceed with the rest of your day

  • Clients may come and go as needed, depending on the number of questions you may have

 

Clients need only to register one time and then may access daily (or as needed) with the same access code. Click here to register.

We offer the following schedule to accommodate your busy schedules:

 

  • Monday and Tuesday: 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Wednesday and Friday: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

  • Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

 

All times are Pacific Standard Time.

Recent PCM Additions & Updates


Since our July/August newsletter, PCM versions 5.5.1008 through 5.5.1027 have been released. These updates include numerous changes, with most being made in the following areas:

 

  • Prescription Writer

  • Drug Search screen

  • Emailing documents

  • OB Form

  • Patient Data Editor

  • Text documents

  • Remote scanning 

 

Additionally, changes made to Meaningful Use Menu Set Measures 5 and 6 necessitated updates in our software to accommodate these changes.

If you have version 9.12.35 or greater, you have access to multiple updates in the Intellect software program. Click to see what's new:

 

 

 

 

Intellect is More User Friendly    

 

Intellect's 9.12.35 version includes an optional java 1.6 update which, if selected, enables the program to run faster and visually enhances the display.

New Supported Clearinghouse! 


ZirMed, Inc. has joined the list of clearinghouses supported by Prime Clinical. They are available on a Windows Platform only, handling Electronic Claims, Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), and Eligibility Verification.

Seminars: Conversion to Windows Platform

In preparation for ICD-10, Prime Clinical Systems is holding Unix user seminars to review the conversion process to the Windows platform.

Our first seminar will be offered twice on Wednesday, October 24, 2012:

 

9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The CMS website has a wealth of information regarding the upcoming ICD-10 transition. Their list of FAQs provides an overview of transitioning to ICD-10 and includes links to more information resources.

Feds Release Final Meaningful Use Stage 2 Rules

 

On Thursday, August 23, 2012, HHS announced the release of the final rules on Stage 2 of the Meaningful Use program. In regard to the release of the rules, iHealthBeat posted an article on Friday, August 24, 2012, which includes fact sheets, links to the rules, details of CMS' final rule, and details of ONC's final rule.

Specialty Codes 01, 08, & 11   

 

Attention: All General Practice, Family Practice and Internal Medicine Providers  

 

Billing groups should complete the form CMS 855I for Individual Health Care Practitioners either on-line through the internet-based Provider Enrollment Chain and Ownership System (PECOS) or the paper enrollment application process. The following sections should be completed:

 

 Section 1A: PTAN/NPI and check off Change

 Section 2A 2D: Identifying Info, Specialty, etc.

 Section 3: Adverse Action

 Section 13: Contact Person

 Section 15: Signature

 

Upon receipt of your application, you may be required to provide additional information in order to process your request.

Medicare: Ordering/Referring Requirements    

 

Is your office receiving denials on the ERA? Does your office have a current Medicare enrollment record?  Please review this link to find out the possible reason.

 

 

 

Government Will Not Limit MU EHR Incentive Pay, Mostashari Says  

 

There is no limit on the amount of Medicare or Medicaid incentive payments that will be distributed to health care providers who meet meaningful use requirements, according to National Coordinator for Health IT Farzad Mostashari, Healthcare IT News reports.
