Recent PCM Additions & Updates
The following changes are for PCM versions up to 5.5.1119.
To ensure that all of the changes apply to you, make sure that you have the latest PCM and TS Client Version. Full documentation on these features and more is under construction.
• Document Icons- The icons in the Chart, List of Forms to Attach, and Filing inboxes have been updated to be the windows equivalents for the type of document extension.

• Convert to PDF Option-There is a new option that allows you to convert various document types to PDF for editing using ink and several other annotation tools
For Pen/Scan type documents, a new option for “Convert to PDF” has been added to the main tool bar
For text type documents, the Convert to Tif/PDF button will now give the option to convert to Tif or PDF, the tooltip now reads “Convert to Tif/PDF for annotations”, then an additonal prompt will give option for TIF or PDF
• PDF Document Editing- The new PDF editing option offers a vastly improved set of markup tools, full PDF editing is supported for PDF documents that are filed from inboxes, opened from MyDocs, document templates or documents that have been converted from tif or text to PDF.

• Meaningful Use Changes- If you have recently been updated, you must have noticed a change in your Meaningful Use data table. A pop up now appears and you are unable to manually update the table to meet some of the measures. This was done in preparation for 2014 Meaningful Use, as there will be a requirement that no manual updating is allowed.

Go to www.primeclinical.com, log in, and click on Meaningful Use Tools, Learning Tools, Stage 1: Menu Set Measures. Each measure has a link to PCM On Line documentation.
• CHDP Electronic Billing- The CHDP form has been updated to allow electronic billing, passing the charges from the PCM CHDP Form to Intellect, the same way PCM Charge Posting works. The latest PCM Version is required. This option is not supported for PCM Unify users. For complete documentation on this click here.
• eFax- PCM now supports internet faxing using Metrofax.
• Charge Posting Patient Data Table- This new table shows the charges and status posted in PCM. This table is excluded from FHR and from PP.
Misc. Fixes
• Midmark ECG and Spiro modules- the header information will read from the be the user’s default charge facility, if a default charge facility is not set, the logged on Clinic information will be used instead. Also there is a new close button, easier than using the red X to close.
• Pharmacy search- pharmacy search is now enabled for the Phone Number field, if user does not enter an area code however it will not work.
• Message boxes- message boxes when being asked to remove documents from mailboxes throughout the program have been changed to be more descriptive instead of yes/no, or yes/no/cancel
• Filing from Web- important update, the browser content should show just fine now that a new method for printing the browser contents to PDF document with PCM PDF printer driver is being used. Authorizations should save fine if they are visible in PCM browser.
Note: users who share Windows User names and have the PCM PDF driver loaded under that user name will not be able to use this method.
• Additions and Fixes for next Update Ver. 5.5.1119
Version 5.5.1119 will be available on or around 08/01/2013
o Signing Restrictions as mentioned in 07/24/2013 PCM Software Notice- Document Signing as of Ver. 5.5.1106 have been removed.
o PDF Signature will include the user name, date and time stamp
o PDF document auto-fills will be available for on the fly insertion. Auto-fills for Document Setup are under development.
o Misc. PDF signing issues have been fixed.
o Misc. Copy to File document encryption issues have been resolved, also there is a new option to either launch and view the PDF, open the folder where the document got stored on copy, or do nothing.

Please make sure to add or update your email address to ensure that you receive these important notices. A copy of these notices is also published on our website.
