Charges before using the Guarantor Payment option (Account Screen):
Payments are distributed line-by-line based on oldest charge first, regardless of which individual account the charges are from. For example, if the charge for account 137, Sylvia Edgars, was made before the charge for account 138, Brandon Quigley, if a payment is made of $57.00 for Brandon Quigley, the amount is deducted first from Sylvia's account, as shown below on the Account screen:
The report generated from the Guarantor Payment option shows the $57.00 payment being made on Sylvia's account:
instead of Brandon's individual patient ledger (Open Item Ledger):
