CallStaff Hardware Requirements

 

1. Intel Dialogic D/4PCIU and D/4PCIUF.  Prime Clinical Systems recommends that clinics purchase the Intel Dialogic PCU:

Please note that other boards which seem comparable may not work with CallSTAFF. Because of this, and constant technology changes, it is best to check with Prime Clinical Systems' hardware department before purchasing voice and combined media boards for use with our system.

 

 

NOTE: If the server needs to be rebooted for any reason, the dialogic service that runs CallSTAFF's program may not reboot. If a reboot is needed, call PCS afterward to check if the dialogic service is running.

 

2. Phone line: CallSTAFF requires a dedicated land line, which may NOT be shared with a modem or fax. The feature does NOT work with a Voice Over IP line (VOIP). Dependent upon the number of patients called daily and the hours designated to call them, more than one phone line may be needed.

 

3. Sound Recorder: This is needed to record the practice or provider(s) name, facility name, and the scheduled patient names. Windows operating systems often come equipped with a voice recorder so check the server before purchasing a new product.
