Printer
Report Setup
Use this option to define the paper tray, print size, portrait or landscape, form feed, length, width, code for customized forms, priority status, and number of copies for each printed report throughout Intellect.
1. To configure the report printing output in Intellect, go to Utility --► Set Up --► Printer --► Report Setup --► Modify:

2. Printer Class
2.1 Type the code for the printer type.
2.2 Use 'HP' for laser printers, and 'printer' for dot matrix printers.
Press [Enter] on the keyboard to move the focus to the CMD column in the first row of the table:
3. CMD
3.1 Available commands are: 'A' add, 'M' modify, 'D' delete, and ESC clear.
3.2 It is recommended that only the Modify function be used and only as described below.
4. Report #
4.1 Report number. This value should not be changed since it is a unique number assigned to each report throughout Intellect.
5. Description
5.1 This field should not be changed since it is a unique name assigned to each report throughout Intellect.
6. Tray
6.1 This option is available for laser printers equipped with two separate paper trays.
6.2 Place 'T1' in this field to pull the paper from the top tray; 'T2' pulls the paper from the bottom tray for this particular report.
7. CON
7.1 This field defines whether or not this report is to print in condensed format (small print) or regular.
7.2 The value entered in this field is the code defining the condensed print command from Utility --►Set Up --►Printer --►Capability table (For Printers) in the <Code> column. Please call your vendor for assistance.
To increase or decrease the size of the font, select the appropriate size code from the Condense Code Table shown below. Please note:
• The default for the <Condense code> field is blank, which is the same as cf12. Most Intellect portrait style reports use this size font.
• The smaller the number the smaller the font
• The larger the number the larger the font - cfa is used on the Financial Report
8. LS
8.1 This field defines whether or not this report is to print in Portrait (regular) or Landscape format. The value entered in this field is the code defining the landscape printer command from Utility --►Set Up --►Printer --►Capability table (For Printers) in the <Code> column. Do not modify without contacting Prime Clinical Systems support.
9. FF
9.1 This field contains the code defining the printer form feed command.
9.2 This code causes the print job to advance one page length or to the top of the next page.
9.3 This value is also defined in Utility --►Set Up --►Printer --►Capability table (For Printers) in the <Code> column. Please call your vendor for assistance.
10. LENGTH
10.1 This value determines what line on the page the printing stops. If printing a multi-page report and there is too much space at the bottom of the page, increase the number. Decrease the number if it is too close to the bottom of the page.
11. WIDTH
11.1 This field defines the report width (in characters). This should not be changed.
12. CODE
12.1 This is used to define the form code for customized laser forms.
12.2 This value is also defined in Utility --►Set Up --►Printer --►Capability table (For Printers) in the <Code> column. Please call your vendor for assistance.
13. PRI.
13.1 This field allows prioritization of this particular report. 1 (one) is the highest level of priority, 20 (twenty) the lowest. A 0 (zero) value in this field defaults to 20.
14. COPY
14.1 This field defines the number of copies to be printed whenever this particular report is requested for printing. A 0 (zero) value in this field defaults to 1.
14.2 To increase the number of copies, type the desired number.
15. Duplex
15.1 Leave blank if the report prints only on one side of the paper.
15.2 If the report prints on both sides of the paper, enter the form code for the back side of the page.
16. Where
16.1 Use this field to designate whether this is a local print job 'L' or if it is to be sent to the server 'S.'
17. Printer Type
17.1 Use this field to designate the type of physical print devices (pcl is the default).
18. First Page
18.1 Effective version 16.02.22 - New column.
18.2 Use this field to indicate whether or not the very first page of the management reports should be printed.
18.2.1 To suppress printing of the very first page, scroll to the appropriate report and enter an ‘N’ in the <First Page> field.
18.2.2 The very first page prints for reports whose <First Page> field is blank.
