Utility/Procedure/ICD9 CHECK
This option allows for adding to and maintaining the set up of proper CPT/ICD9 code relations.
CPT/ICD9 CODE RELATION
Add Modify View Delete Exit
Menu Options:
Add Add new CPT/ICD9 code relations.
Modify Modify existing CPT/ICD9 code relations.
View View existing CPT/ICD9 code relations.
Delete Delete existing CPT/ICD9 code relations.
Exit Returns you to the Procedure Menu.

To add a CPT/ICD9 code relation, select the Add option. On-Staff will display the following fields:
CMD: Command Column. To add a CPT/ICD9 code relation, press A. Pressing the [F2] search key will display the following valid choices from the command column:
A Add CPT/ICD9.
M Modify CPT/ICD9.
D Delete CPT/ICD9.
Q Quit.
CPT Code: Enter the Panel Code you wish to setup ICD9 relations with.
ICD9 Code: Enter ALL related ICD9 codes for the entered CPT code. For example, to prevent billing a hernia repair CPT Code with an ovarian cancer ICD9 code or any other incorrect ICD9 code, you would enter all related ICD9 codes for that CPT code here.
NOTE: The warning will display, independent of the charge /Charges/Charge <Rdx> entry. In order to receive the warning when posting charges, software requirements are:
The related Panel Code’s /Utility/Procedure <ICD9 Check> must be Y
The appropriate /Utility/Procedure <Code R (C, or E)> and/or <UB92 Code> (based on the /Utility/Insurance <Code (R/C/E/U)> entry) must be entered.
The following warning will appear:
