OnSTAFF 2000
/Charges Who:
When the /Utility/Category <Responsibility (G/P/X)> field of the category assigned to a patient is set to P or X, OnStaff now checks the insurance(s) pre-defined in the patient’s insurance screen(s) against the Who entered at the time of posting a charge.
When /Utility/Procedure <Hold (Y/N)> = N the cursor WILL NOT stop in the /Charges/Charge <Who> column. In this case, OnStaff will default the <Who> column to G or P depending on the /Category <Responsibility (G/P/X)> field entry of the patient’s assigned category (if <Responsibility (G/P/X)> = X, OnStaff defaults the <Who> column to P).
When /Utility/Procedure <Hold (Y/N)> = Y the cursor WILL stop in the /Charges/Charge <Who> column. In this case, the user enters a value in the <Who> column. When the <Who> column is left blank, OnStaff defaults the <Who> column to P.
When a patient’s insurance file DOES contain insurances and the <Who> column entry at the time of posting is not one of those defined in the patient’s insurance screen(s), OnStaff will default the <Who> column to P and display the following warning:
Regardless of what the /Utility/Category <Responsibility (G/P/X)> field is set to, if /Utility/Procedure <Billing (A/N/C/E/P/B/R/)> = C (bill patient only) OnStaff will default the <Who> column to G and will NOT allow the <Who> column entry to be changed from the /Charges/Charge screen. Changes may be made in /Charges/Modify or either /Ledger/Accounting or /Ledger/Open Item.
The new Patient Insurance Lookup screen can assist users in identifying insurance(s) attached to the current patient. :
When software requirements are met, a macro key can be used to display insurances attached to the current patient’s account. The displayed screen is informational only.
