During the past year, Prime Clinical
Systems has worked diligently
to prepare for the ANSI 5010 Electronic
Data Interchange requirements
to meet the December 31, 2011
deadline. As we completed the
testing on our Practice Management
Software, for both OnStaff Intellect
and OnStaff 2000, we informed
all of our clients of the 5010
update via many emails, newsletters,
and posting on our Website, including
all the information and instructions
needed to prepare for ANSI 5010.
At
this time, we would like to remind
all of you that the 5010 deadline
is 12/31/2011, and any claims
transmitted in the 4010 format
after this date will be rejected
if transmitted directly to Medicare.
If you have not
updated to an ANSI 5010 version:
Intellect (Windows
OS) 5010 Version is 9.12.24
or greater
You should
update your system to version
9.12.24. First, read the Release
Notes (also available from
Intellect by selecting menu option
Help, then Release Notes). Read
all the Release Notes for releases
greater than your current version,
and then update your server
by selecting menu option Utility/Tools/Live
Update. Update only the
server from this option. After
the server is updated and users
log into Intellect, you will be
prompted to update -- proceed
with updating each workstation.

current version is 9.12.01 or
greater. If your current version
is prior to 9.12.01, you MUST
use Update
Installation Procedure from Version
less than 9.12.01.
OnStaff 2000
(Unix OS) Version 12/07 or greater
Because
of the volume of calls related
to ANSI 5010, Prime Clinical Support
will be unable to schedule updates
for OnStaff 2000 until February.

on preparing for ANSI 5010, moving
from 4010 to 5010 for direct submissions
through Palmetto Medicare, and
submitting via your clearinghouse.
