Intellect Version 13.10.29

Version 13.10.29 was released in October 2013.

This update contains software modifications and features to streamline office procedures. A brief overview of the changes follows.

Overview of New and Enhanced Features

View the following summary of new and modified features in the most recent version of Intellect to quickly see what features we've added to the program which may benefit your office.

The detailed release notes contain important information you need to know before updating.   

 

Fixes for reported problems are not included in the Overview of New and Enhanced Features; please refer to the detailed release notes.  

 

 

Registration

Regular/Patient:

 

 Add a phone number for the emergency contact using the new <Emergency Phone> field.

 Indicate whether or not a patient is currently active or inactive via the new <Active> field.

 

Worker/Worker:

 

 Use the new <Cell Phone Carrier> field to identify the carrier of patients' cell phones.  

 

Worker/Insurance:

 

 Provide a date for Box 14 of the HCFA by entering it in the <First Symptom Date> field.

 Add Claim 4 and Claim 5 to your submission, if necessary, using the new supporting fields.  

 Select body part(s) and treatment authorization for your claim by clicking on the appropriate box(es).

 Use the <DEU> field to enter the applicable DEU (disability evaluation unity) number for your electronic EDI submission.  

 

Charges 

Charge:

 

 For company accounts, enter cpt codes in the Utility/Business <Authorized Services> field to notify users when an unauthorized cpt code is entered during charge posting.     

 Have Intellect check the fee schedule for the provider specified in the Utility/Business <Fee Schedule Provider> field when posting charges.    

 

Billing

HCFA:

 

 Review the new HCFA form which has been released and goes into effect January 6, 2014.  

 

Statement:

 

 Put the insurance name on the patient statements in addition to, or instead of, the insurance code.

 Use the new 'Company Statement' option.  

 

Utility

Category:

 

 Use the new drop down options in the <POS Type> field for electronic Worker's Comp submissions.

 

Insurance/Insurance:

 

 Select the new 'O' drop down option on the <Code (R/C/E/U)> field for insurance companies that require an additional procedure code.

 Do you have PCM? Select the appropriate Meaningful Use code using the new <Payer SOP Code> field. 

 

Insurance/Tele Com:

 

 Indicate whether or not Health Net counseling took place.  

 

Procedure/Procedure:

 

 Use the new <Code O> and <Modifier O> fields for additional procedure codes for billing. 

 

Business:

 

 Identify a specific company division, contact name, phone, fax, and email address.

 

Schedule

Appointment:

 

 See a 'busy' or 'no answer' status when there is no response to a call sent by Twilio.   

 Do real time eligibility direct with Medicare.

 Utilize the Ability Solution -- have PCS Support personnel do the set up for you. 

   

Miscellaneous

Main Menu Tool Bar:

 

 Use the new 'Open a Support Ticket' and 'Survey' icons. 

 

 

Update Instructions 

 

The Release Notes include the features and modifications made in the current update. PCS suggests you provide each department a copy of the Release Notes so they are aware of the changes which may affect their department.

In order to be aware of ALL changes in the software, please read all release notes from the version you are currently on through to the version to which you are updating.  

 

The update may include items labeled: ATTENTION. These will IMMEDIATELY affect Billing and other daily tasks. Please be sure to notify all departments which will be affected.  

 

Intellect Update Authorization Form:

If you do NOT have support, please contact  accounting@primeclinical.com as your office MUST have a current Intellect support maintenance contract before being updated.

 

If you have a current Intellect support maintenance contract, please print, complete, sign, and return the Update Authorization Form to PCS prior to your update. Even if updating your system yourself, PCS requests you send us this completed form so we can update your Client Record with the version number to which you are updating. Knowing your version number is necessary if we find a critical error in the program and need to update clients with specific versions.

If your office runs Live Update yourself

If you do NOT have support, please contact accounting@primeclinical.com as your office MUST have a current Intellect support maintenance contract before being updated.

 

If you have a current Intellect support maintenance contract, and are updating your server yourself, refer to the instructions for updating your server, restarting Services, and updating workstations.

This update may include new features labeled: BETA TEST. These are new features which require additional testing in a real, live environment. If you are interested in being a Beta Test site, please contact Prime Clinical System for additional information and set up.
