the release of

  

Intellect Version 14.02.04

Version 14.02.04 was released in February 2014.

This update contains software modifications and features to streamline office procedures. A brief overview of the changes follows.

Overview of New and Enhanced Features

View the following summary of new and modified features in the most recent version of Intellect to quickly see what features we've added to the program which may benefit your office.

Fixes for reported problems are not included in the Overview of New and Enhanced Features; please refer to the detailed release notes.  

 

Notice 

Download ICD-10 Codes:

 

 As part of this release, all 90,000+ ICD-10 codes with a short description are loaded into Intellect.

 

Registration

Regular/Patient Insurance:

 

 Enter an employer in the <Employer Name> field, whether or not the employer name was previously set up in Intellect.  

 

Worker:

 

 Record which facility the patient should be referred to for non-emergency treatment, or to indicate their preference of facilities using the <Hospital Name> field. 

 

Worker/Worker Insurance:

 

 Type the adjuster's email address into the new <Adjuster Email> field.

 Use the new <Status> field for each <Claim No #> field.

 Add the name of the Utilization Review Company in the new <UR Company> field.

 Enter an employer in the <Employer Name> field, whether or not the employer name was previously set up in Intellect.

 For the <Body Parts> field, leave the Authorization Status blank, or use the new drop down list to select 'Authorized', 'Pending', or 'Denied'.

 View the selected <Body Parts> at the top of the selection list.

 Note that the fields on the screen have been organization by function.   

 

Worker/Workers Comp Lien:

 

 Use the new Worker's Compensation Lien option to file liens to the State and attach supporting documentation, track hearing/event information, and file a DOR with the final ADJ statement attached, if desired.   

 

Worker/View All Claims:

 

 View all claims for a specified patient on one screen.

 

Credit Card:

 

 Add credit card information for patients.    

 

Charges

Encounter/Generic:

 

 Use the new<Project Identifier> field with clinical trials for medicines, procedures, etc.

 

Payment 

Open Item:

 

 Make payments via credit card for patients with credit card information set up in Registration --►Credit Card.

 

Ledger

Create Collection & Review Collection:

 

 Generate a Second Bill Review report for tagged charges utilizing the new Second Bill Review option.  

 

Billing

HCAF:

 

 Implement the new HCFA 1500 Form (02/12).

 

Utility

Set Up/Appointment/Appointment Type:

 

 Use the four new fields to request that a pre-written email be sent to referring providers and/or patients for appointments tagged as 'No Show' or 'Canceled'. 

 

Schedule

Appointment/Full Day:

 

 Cancel or Delete blocks of scheduled appointments from a patient instead of canceling/deleting multiple appointments one at a time.

 Select 'Canceled' or 'No Show' from the right-click menu to send a notification email to the referring provider and/or patient. This feature is dependent on the set up of the new fields on the Appointment Type screen.

 

 

Update Instructions 

 

The Release Notes include the features and modifications made in the current update. PCS suggests you provide each department a copy of the Release Notes so they are aware of the changes which may affect their department.

In order to be aware of ALL changes in the software, please read all release notes from the version you are currently on through to the version to which you are updating.  

 

The update may include items labeled: ATTENTION. These will IMMEDIATELY affect Billing and other daily tasks. Please be sure to notify all departments which will be affected.  

 

Intellect Update Authorization Form:

If you do NOT have support, please contact  accounting@primeclinical.com as your office MUST have a current Intellect support maintenance contract before being updated.

 

If you have a current Intellect support maintenance contract, please print, complete, sign, and return the Update Authorization Form to PCS prior to your update. Even if updating your system yourself, PCS requests you send us this completed form so we can update your Client Record with the version number to which you are updating. Knowing your version number is necessary if we find a critical error in the program and need to update clients with specific versions.

If you have a current Intellect support maintenance contract, and are updating your server yourself, refer to the instructions for updating your server, restarting Services, and updating workstations.

This update may include new features labeled: BETA TEST. These are new features which require additional testing in a real, live environment. If you are interested in being a Beta Test site, please contact Prime Clinical System for additional information and set up.
