Superbill Update
On October 1, 2015, ICD-10 goes into effect.
Any superbills your office is currently using that include diagnosis codes
will need to be updated to reference the new ICD-10 codes.
Due to the high volume of superbill/form change requests, we
have been forced to initiate a deadline date of 08/01/2015. Any superbill and forms changes requested
after this deadline date are not guaranteed that the FORMS WILL BE READY
AND LOADED ON OR BEFORE 10/01/2015.
To update your superbills, we request that your office make the necessary
changes in a Microsoft Word document and email the information to support@primeclinical.com.
The subject line
should include 'ATTN: Forms Dept',
and the body of the email
should include your client ID and the name and phone number
of a contact person.
Note: Only send your superbill if your office has
ICD-9 codes or will be adding ICD-10 codes to the superbill. Any changes to your superbill are billable.
The Forms Department will advise you of the cost once they have reviewed
your changes.
ICD-10 Information Available
As
we get closer to the 10/01/2015 Mandate Date, please be sure that you
and your staff are learning about the ICD-10 requirements internally.
As your software vendor, we have included ALL the ICD-10 codes and a crosswalk
in your software. Any codes that are not included in your system will
need to be added to your system by you and your staff. Please be advised,
the ICD-10 codes were pulled from the CMS website and are not a product
of PCS.
Prime Clinical constantly updates our websites with current ICD-10 information
for our clients. After going to www.primeclinical.com,
and logging-in with your Client ID and password, ICD-10 information is
located in two areas:
Select [OnStaff/Intellect Info], and then ICD-10. Available options, including our ICD-10 Q&A, will display.
- OR -
Click on the blue [Newsletters and Alerts] box, and then ICD-10. Selections include CMS News Updates and various options such as slides from CMS' recent ICD-10 webinar.
Additional ICD-10 information is also available from the CMS website. For example, if you are a small physician practice, you may be interested in their Road to 10 no-cost tool.
