Effective version 15.04.28
Release Date: April 28, 2015
Press Release for Version 15.04.28
Known Issue:
Charges--►Charge
In software version 15.04.28 there was an issue when committing charges when the insurance was set to CASH.
This problem will be corrected in a future update.
Charges
MODIFICATION Charges--►Charge
In the past, if a patient is seen by two doctors with different specialties (i.e., pain management vs. surgery), each specialty may have different global period rules and, therefore, both doctors may or may not be alerted when posting charges. As of this update, the global warning message is given only if the doctor who performed the procedure with the global warning period has the same taxonomy code as the doctor that visited the patient for the follow-up.
FIX Charges--►Encounter--►Modify
In a prior software version, when two records were open and the [Esc] key was pressed for one of the records, the record was locked and the message “Record is locked by another operator” displayed. This problem has been corrected in this update.
Payment
FIX Payment--►Auto Payment
In a prior software version, when a user posted a payment using auto pay and the user used the Reverse Entry for the posting, the Who column did not revert back to the original setting.
Billing
FIXBilling--►Tele Com – CAS PR
When billing the secondary insurance in a prior update, the CAS PR was missing in the 5010 837 file, causing the claims to reject. This issue has been corrected in this update.
Management
NEW REPORT OPTIONS Management--►Analysis--►Utilization
Effective this update, users can generate Utilization Reports based on specific fields on the Registration--►Worker--►Worker Insurance screen. As shown below, the fields are: Applicant Attorney, Defense Attorney, Claimant Attorney, Board, and DEU.
Five new options have been added to the <Report Code> drop down list to request these Utilization Reports:
When requesting the report, criteria is entered the same as one would enter for any of the Utilization Reports (see online documentation)
In the following sample Applicant Attorney report, the entry displaying as ‘Unknown’ indicates there are 1671 Workers Compensation patient’s with a blank <Applicant Attorney> field on the Worker Insurance screen. In order to not be lumped into the ‘Unknown’ category, the <Applicant Attorney> field has to be filled prior to posting charges.
Utility
NEW COLUMNS Utility--►Diagnosis--►Crosswalk--► View
As of this update, two columns have been added to the View Crosswalk screen:
Once an ICD-9 code has been entered, users may access the new columns by entering an ‘M’ in the [CMD] column on the line they wish to modify.
<Custom>: This field protects previously entered ICD-10 codes from being deleted. Entering ‘Yes’ or ‘Y’ in the Custom column indicates that the already-entered ICD-10 code is a customized code and should NOT be deleted.
<Priority>: This numerical field allows users to enter a number starting with 1 to allow the diagnosis to be displayed in a priority order when displayed. The user can also ‘omit’ a diagnosis code from the display list by entering the value of ‘0’ (zero).
FIX Utility--►Task Manager
In version 15.02.17 the feature was added to let any user see the scheduled jobs status when Ctrl+J was pressed, no matter who ran those jobs. However, as of version 15.03.23 there was an issue in that all the scheduled jobs of all the clinics were displayed. Effective in this update, only the scheduled jobs of the clinic in which the user is working are displayed.
Schedule
FIX Schedule--►Appointment
In version 15.03.23, there were known issues in the appointment schedule. The issues included: 1) appointment time slots not including all the slots per the appointment length, 2) appointment comments not being saved, 3) appointment confirmations not being saved, 4) the ‘pending’ notification not displaying when two operators were booking appointments at the same time, and 5) occasionally the appointment schedule just froze up. As of this update, all of the issues have been corrected.
