With the latest release of PCM, we have added many exciting new features to assist your practice in providing quality medical care to your patients. Here are just a few of them that you may find helpful.
PCS clients have been reporting recent, ongoing issues when downloading ERN and RSP reports from Medicare. This is due to an intermittent problem on Medicare’s system. Prime Clinical Systems continues to work closely with Medicare in resolving the problem for our clients, and sent an email to Intellect clients in the first week of January with information on manually running the Backup and Export tasks. The email can be accessed by clicking on Read more >>.
For future reference, please forward your Medicare Submitter ID, and the name of your Medicare carrier to PCS.
Three Uniform Data System (UDS) reports have been added to the Intellect Management menu: Patients by Age and Gender, Patients by Race and Language, and Patients by Zip Code.
Email and text messages can be sent automatically to patients to remind them of their appointments. These Intellect options can significantly cut the time and expense of reminding patients of their appointments and reduce the cost of missed appointments.
Do you have to make a presentation and need charts or displays? Intellect offers the option of plotting graphs for the number of appointments for selected dates and a selected parameter of Appointment Type, Doctor, or Facility. Graphs can be produced in the three different styles: pie graphs, bar graphs, and line graphs.
Every once in a while, electronics and software being what they are, problems arise. Prime Clinical support personnel are waiting to help you, but how do you contact them? You could exit from Intellect to send an email or look up the phone number to call, but a quicker way may be to simply use Intellect’s Open New Reference option to contact Prime Clinical.
pVerify™ is the first solution in the market that guarantees COMPLETE (incl. deductibles, co-ins and out-of-pocket remaining) and CONTEXTUAL (i.e. tailored to your practice/specialty) Patient Eligibility and Benefits information allowing providers to collect 100% of patient obligation payments at the time of service. And since we are fully integrated with your Prime Clinical software, you will be able to eliminate the manual work relating to eligibility verification entirely.

It’s support available 24/7! PCS understands clients may require assistance other than during normal business hours and therefore provide continuous After Hours/On Call support. When calling After Hours/On Call support, an agent will answer your call. If all agents are currently working with other clients, you may leave a message and can expect to receive a return call within 30 minutes.

The business-critical process of printing and mailing patient self-pay statements and invoices is a function that cannot be ignored. As painful as the process may be, it is essential to a healthy back office. Usually the burden falls upon one or two people in the office that are stuck doing the billing. Staying late, working nights or, even worse, coming in on weekends just to get it done. Why do you still do it when outsourcing that function has been a trusted option in health care for over fifteen years? The following is an attempt to pique interest and ask a few simple questions. If you are still doing it the old-fashioned way, give us a call and see how we can help you.
