Menu Options:

 

            Devices                       This area will be maintained by your vendor.

 

            Capability                   This area will be maintained by your vendor.

 

            Report Setup              This option contains the definition of On-Staff report formats.

 

            Report                        Step two for adding new users and their default Report printer destinations.

 

            Exit                             Returns you to the Printer Menu.

 

 

Set Up/Printer/DEVICES

 

This option tells the printer how to print, what graphics, what printer destination and more.  This area will be maintained by your vendor.

Menu Options:

                        Add                 Add new Devices.

                        Modify            Modify an existing Device.

                        Delete             Delete an existing Device.

                        View                View an existing Device.

Printer Code:              Printer Name which is added to the 'Operating System and that will appear when you print a document.

 

Command:                  Operating System command(s) used for printing.

                                    Press [F2] on the <Command> field to display the following options:

Direction:                   Operation System direction (e,g., spool, fax etc).

                                    Press [F2] on the <Direction> field to display the following report options:

Device Name:            Name of the device assigned in the Operating System (this option is used to define whether this is a Parallel, Serial or Network printer).

 

Device Code:             This option defines which printer 'capabilities' will be used for the defined printer.

 

Speed:                        Defines the speed  of the printer assigned (will always be 9600).

 

Parity:                        Defines digital bits per byte (always 'N' in OnSTAFF).

 

Data Bits:                   Amount of bits (always 8).

 

Stop Bits:                    Printer bits (always 1 in OnSTAFF).
