It’s not too late to file for incentive funds.  You have two options:

MEDICAID (MediCAL in California)

Under the Medicaid (MediCAL in California) initiative…..

You can still file in 2012 for the first year installment of $21,250 per provider

• This applies to M.D., D.O., D.P.M., P.A., and N.P. providers
• You do not have to meet the 90 days of meaningful use in this first year
• Go to www.cms.gov  website and type in EHR incentive programs for the latest complete information

MEDICARE

In order to qualify to receive the full $44,000 per provider under this initiative, you must submit 90 days of meaningful use data collection that meets the requirements during this calendar year.

• The deadline for the initial 90 days of meaningful use data collection is October 1 through December 31.
• If you are not ready to submit 90 days of meaningful use data in 2012, you can still participate in 2013; however, the maximum incentive per provider that will be available will be $39,000.
• The incentive applies to M.D., D.O., D.P.M. providers
• Go to www.cms.gov  website and type in EHR incentive programs for the latest complete information
